Chennai to Ahobilam Tour Package – 2 Nights / 3 Days

This is the main pilgrimage day of our Chennai to Nava Narasimha Temple Tour.

06:30 AM – 07:30 AM – Breakfast

Start the morning with freshly prepared homemade vegetarian breakfast.

After breakfast, leave Lower Ahobilam by private AC cab and proceed towards Upper Ahobilam, approximately 15–20 km from the stay area depending on the route and pickup point.

Accommodation is arranged at Lower Ahobilam because it provides a convenient base for the different temple circuits.

Morning Session – Upper Ahobilam

After reaching Upper Ahobilam, begin the temple circuit with local guidance.

The program includes:

• Karanja Narasimha Swamy Temple
• Ahobila Narasimha Swamy Temple

The next section involves the important Upper Ahobilam walking/trekking circuit.

Upper Ahobilam Trek

With the assistance of the local guide, proceed on foot to:

• Kroda / Varaha Narasimha Swamy Temple
• Malola Narasimha Swamy Temple
• Jwala Narasimha Swamy Temple

This portion cannot be treated like normal roadside temple sightseeing. The route involves walking, rocky terrain and climbing steps, so comfortable footwear and reasonable physical fitness are recommended.

Kroda, Malola and Jwala can be combined as part of the Upper Ahobilam walking circuit. Ahobilam Mutt's visitor guidance similarly describes Kroda as being on the route towards Jwala, with Malola reached by a diversion from this circuit.

The morning session is planned to be completed around lunchtime, subject to the guests' walking speed, crowd, weather and temple conditions.

Lunch & Short Rest

After completing the Upper Ahobilam section, return for lunch and take a short break before starting the forest journey.

Afternoon – Forest Jeep Temple Tour

Approximate Start: 02:30 PM – 03:00 PM

The afternoon is reserved for one of the most distinctive experiences in our Ahobilam 3 Days Tour Package from Chennai – the forest-side Nava Narasimha temples.

The planned temples are:

• Pavana Narasimha Swamy Temple
• Bhargava Narasimha Swamy Temple

These temples involve rough forest-side access, so the regular Chennai tour cab is not used for this section. We coordinate a local jeep specifically for the forest route, and the jeep arrangement is included according to the selected package.

Published Ahobilam visitor guidance likewise identifies Pavana and Bhargava as temples commonly approached using local jeep transport, while Andhra Pradesh Tourism's site plan shows the Nava Narasimha shrines spread across difficult hill and forest terrain.

The complete afternoon session generally requires around 4–5 hours, depending on forest access, road conditions, waiting time and darshan.

Approximate Return: Around 07:00 PM

Return to the guest house, freshen up and have dinner.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM – Breakfast

Enjoy the final homemade breakfast at Ahobilam.

After breakfast, check out from the accommodation and begin the return journey to Chennai.

The return drive is kept comfortable with necessary refreshment and rest stops along the route.

Optional Temple Visit

Depending on the guests' interest, available time, temple timings and return-route conditions, an additional temple visit around the Kadapa route can be considered.

This visit is optional and will be planned only when it does not significantly affect the Chennai arrival time.

Evening – Chennai Drop

Continue the return journey and reach Chennai approximately around 06:00 PM, subject to traffic and road conditions.

Drop at the requested Chennai location.
