Route: Chennai → ECR → Pondicherry
Pickup from your selected Chennai location and drive towards Pondicherry via the scenic East Coast Road. Reach Pondicherry in the morning and begin sightseeing.
Stop 1 – Sri Aurobindo Ashram
Start with Sri Aurobindo Ashram, one of Pondicherry's best-known spiritual destinations. Spend some quiet time at the ashram before continuing to the nearby temple.
Stop 2 – Manakula Vinayagar Temple
Walk or drive the short distance to Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple, a historic Ganesha temple situated close to the French Quarter.
Stop 3 – French Quarter / White Town
Explore the distinctive streets of White Town, known for French colonial architecture, colourful buildings, heritage properties and tree-lined lanes.
This area is also one of the best locations for photography during a Pondicherry city tour.
Stop 4 – Bharathi Park
Continue to Bharathi Park, located within the heritage area. Take a short break and view the surrounding colonial-era landmarks.
Stop 5 – Sacred Heart Basilica
Proceed to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, known for its Gothic-style architecture and stained-glass interiors.
Stop 6 – Rock Beach & Promenade
Spend the evening around Rock Beach and the Promenade, one of Pondicherry's signature coastal experiences.
The promenade area also provides access to landmarks such as the Gandhi Statue and French War Memorial.
Pondicherry → Chennai
After completing the evening sightseeing, start the return journey.
